Some tips on getting to Udaipur for Guests
For International Guests
From Australia and the UK, best way to get there is flying via Delhi to Udaipur. From Australia, you can fly with Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines, or for lower cost options consider Thai Airways, Scoot and Cathay Pacific.
As the wedding events commence in the early afternoon of 2nd Feb 2026, we recommend for guests to be in Udaipur by lunch time (or as close as possible to this) on 2nd Feb. Official wedding ceremonies end on the night of the 3rd Feb, and you will depart the wedding venue on the 4th Feb (checkout will be at approx. 12pm).
Recommendation is to arrive in Udaipur on 1st February to explore the beauitful ‘City of Lakes’ and be ready for the wedding on 2nd. Alternatively, you may wish to stay in Delhi for the night of 1st February and fly to Udaipur on 2nd February in the morning.
Accommodation is available at the Venue in Udaipur (Fateh Garh) for guests on 2nd and 3rd February. You may need to secure a hotel in Udaipur (or Delhi) for the night of 1st February. There is the potential to stay at Fateh Garh on the night of 1st February if the venue is not hosting another event. Please see Accommodation page for more information.
Travelling within India
From Delhi
The fastest mode of travelling to Udaipur from Delhi is by air. The flight is 1 hour and 15 minutes. IndiGo, Air India, Vistara & SpiceJet offer daily flights from Delhi to Udaipur from IGI Airport, New Delhi. The arrival is at Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur about 22km from Udaipur city (approx. 45 mins by taxi). We will make travel arrangements for the guests from Udaipur Airport to Fateh Garh on the 2nd Feb (be prepared for a potential waiting time to allow for a a single group from the airport to the wedding destination at Fateh Garh.
For an economical & scenic journey, hopping on a train is the best option if you have some time to spare. It takes around 11 to 13 hours to reach Udaipur City by train. Popular trains from Delhi to Udaipur are Mewar Express (12963) Chetak Express (20473), and Delhi Sarai Rohilla–Udaipur City Express (19610). The trains depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin (NZM), Delhi Sarai Rohilla (DEE), or New Delhi (NDLS) stations and arrive at Udaipur City. We will make travel arrangements for the guests traveling by train from Udaipur station to Fateh Garh on 2nd Feb.
For more flexible and budget friendly options one may consider traveling by road (bus and car) - sleeper, AC, non-AC, and Volvo buses are operated both by government (RSRTC, Rajasthan Tourism) and private operators (RedBus, MakeMyTrip).
From Mumbai
From Mumbai to Udaipur the flight is 1 hour and 30 minutes. IndiGo, Vistara, Air India offer daily flights from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai to Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur. One can also travel by train (16 to 18 hours) from Mumbai to Udaipur by Mewar Express (12963), Udaipur Express (22901), Bandra Terminus – Udaipur Superfast Express (22902) departing from Mumbai Central, Dadar, Bandra Terminus, or Borivali and arriving at Udaipur City. Options to travel by road from Mumbai to Udaipur are also available by long bus and car rides which may take around 15 to 18 hours.
